Mrs. George Lee,89, Succumbsblt;0!01VeieiiKLf/cfszsNhbeIV/LJo1-I-a*i-dfdMrs. George C. Lee of Noxon died Tuesday noon at a rest home in Thompson Falls following a lengthy illness. She was 89.Mrs. Lee was born in 1873 at Mundelein. 111. and grew up on a farm. In 1910, she married George C. Lee in Illinois while he was serving as pastor of the Methodist church in Ceylon, Minn. They served churches in Minnesota and North Dakota before coming to Montana 35 years ago.In Montana, the Rev. and Mrs. Lee served Methodist churches at Whitehall, Ronan, Culbertson, Harlowton, Brady, Chinook and St. Ignatius and the Federated church at Hamilton. After he s retired from the ministry, they moved to Novon five years ago to serve the Noxon Community church.Mrs. Lee had been in the rest home since last July.Surviving are the widower, the Rev, George C. Lee, Noxon, a son, Russell, Helena; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Porter, Tucson, Ariz.. and Mrs. Esther May Fent, Orting, Wash., and a brother, Edward A. Harden, Whitehall.Graveside services tentatively are scheduled to be held at the Sunset Gardens in Missoula at 2 p.m. Thursday with memorial services to be held at a later date at the Noxon Community church. The Shrider Funeral Home of Plains is in charge of arrangements.
