Butts in El Dorado su- j perior court Friday. •The jury indictment was brought as a result of their investigation into the April 30 (automobile accident in which Dick Buhiert, 33, of Diamond Springs, and LeRoy H. Bock-Brader, 41, of Placerville, were killed. Butts; and James Leavitt, 29, of PiacerviUe, were both severely injured in. the mishap.Police reports indicate that -Butts,. a . family partner tin . the. ownership and operation of cafe and tavern in Placerville, was driving the ear when it went out of control and crashed into the cement pier which supports the pedestrian overpass of the Placerville freeway at the Bedford avenue intersection!THE GRAND JURY indictment was drawn on May 3, but, according to district attorney Jack Winkler, presentment of the charges was withheld on advice by the attending physician who thought that the possible shock might adversely affect Butts’ chance of recovery. Both Butts and Leavitt have since been released from the hospital.Formal arraignment on the charges is scheduled in El Dorado superior court .Tune 1. pending which, Butts was released on $3000 bond.
