Farmers are all almost done planting corn. Herbert Quinlin and wife visit at Chas. Esarey’s Sunday. Elvie Esarey returned home Sunday from Tobinsport where she has been attending high school. Edward Pollard left Sunday for Danville where he will enter college. Nath Parks of Eckerty were through here Monday buying stock. Everett Frakes, Sherman Pol lard, Ray and Appie Esarey at tended the baptizing at Oriole Sunday. Several attended the funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Nash at the Oolby Cemetery Monday last. Frank Galey and family visit ed at Eugene Frakes’ Sunday. J.Saalman and son John D. made a business trip to English Thursday. J. R. Saalman and family visi ted at O. C. Saalman Sunday. Eugene Galey attended the ball game at St. Croix Sunday. Chas. Carr attended the ball game at Apalona Sunday. The rock roads of Oil Town ship were started Monday. Everybody will soon have an auto. George E. Saddler hauled hay from Frank Galey’s Saturday. John W. Gibson and wife of Oriole visited at Chas, Sprinkle’s Sunday. Rev. Ek. Montgomery filled his regular appointment at Branch ville Sunday. Rosco Land made a business trip to Eckerty Saturday. Frank Galey says he will not go to the war himself, but he has a fine young span of mules he will sell to go to Europe either in the war army or labor army. ‘beddy.
