This company is engaged in the manufacture of pumps, mining, irrigation machinery, etc., and theirincreasing business demanded a largerplant, which the company was in* duced to build at Niles. The Niles people got together and subscribed850.000, and thereby secured the plant tor that town. When the shops open they will give employment for 150 men. Jackson Dennis is vice-president of the Niles Milling and Lumber Company, which is contemplating the building of a large planing mill and lumber yard. He is president of the California Pressed brick Company, owning a large body of clay land in the outskirts of Niles, where the works will be located. The capital is81.000.000.
