Thein trade has been some better sincee farmers finished planting.Mr. Hirsch still continues to get a fair are ot grain grown in this section. The feason is, he pays good prices and is ac-mmodating to his customers.Messrs. McGovney Son are doing a d business in the grocery and general erchandise trade. They sell good goods a fair profit and are very attentive to e wants of their customers.Messrs. Stoll Co., do a cash business small profit and quick sales.The hardware trade is monopolized by e two firms of Schubeth and Mairs, who ie with each other in doing good work at ttom prices.Mrs. Weber, the lady who broke her eg some six weeks since, is doing finely and will soon be able to be about, bhe is attended by Dr. Alexander.Our old citizen, Mrs. Williams, has returned again. She has been living for some time in Joliet.Dr. Alexander and Mrs. Baldwin have been absent for some days in attendance on their father who died last Friday evening, Jtt. J. Lina Brumund took Mr. Baldwin’s place in the school during her absence.There are some of our citizens moving West. Mr. A. V. Geddes and Mr. Sevoy Cleveland, expect to start soon on a tour West to look at the country. Mr. Geddes has been quite unwell for some time and the trip will probably do him good.
