Declaration.BE it hereby known thai I Charlotte Johnson, wife of (i. I). Johnson, of the county of Amador, State of California, being desirous of availing myself of the benefit of an act of the Legislature of California,paused April 12th, 1852. authorizing married women to transact bust ness as sole traders, do hereby make known my intention to transact business in my own name from and alter this date; said business to be that of mining and keeping u saloon and boarding house, and that I will be individually responsible for all debts that I may contract from and after this date, and moreover that the capital invested in said business is less than five thousand dollars.CHARLOTTE JOHNSON.Witness: Stephen Kendall.May 1, 1856.State op California, [County of Atpador, } bH‘On this 1st day of May, A.
