Rockport, May 8, 1845. Hon. Robert Dale Owen:Dear Sir:—The undersigned, delegates representing Posey county in the Convention held this day at Rock-port, having been appointed a Committee to inform you of its action, respectfully submit the following resolution adopted by the Convention:''Resolved) unanimously, That Robert Dale Owen be, and hereby is, nominated as the candidate for Congress in this Congressional district, and that we now in Convention assembled pledge ourselves to use all honorable means to secure his election.-’Respectfully, your fellow citizens,EBEK D.
