ITASCA The Itasca 4H club held their regular meeting at Itasca school. We sang songs and had our busi ness meeting. After the meeting a Mothers’ Day program was given by the club members. We selected Carol Metzke as our delegate to 4-H week. The mothers were pre sented with red geraniums and the leaders with pink flowers. Lunch was served by Katzung and Moe. ALDEN May 23 was the date chosen for 4-H Sunday to be held in the Grace Lutheran church at the meeting of the Alden 4-H club. Glennyce Toenges, president, conducted the meeting. Roll call was answered by each member naming a flower. It was decided to have three soft ball teams. Jim Fulton and Cliff ton Toenges are captains for the younger boys, Phyllis Toenges and Elsie Jensen are captains for the girls and Curt Hanson captain for the mixed team. It was decided to send Charlotte Smith and Orville Simonsen, win ners of the Better Grooming con test in Albert Lea, to 4H week in St. Paul. The 4 H tour will be held July 15. Elsie Jensen and Phyllis Toen ges were appointed to prepare a scrapbook on what the club has been doing. Enoch Peterson did some tricks and showed his pictures of the Rose Parade. There were two de monstrations. Sandra Buendorf showed how to make a chocolate Pie and Janet Grinolds how to make cookies. BANCROFT GO-GETTERS A discussion of the 4-H tour was held at the Bancroft Go-Get ters meeting, May 18, in the Ban croft Town Hall. The date was set for June 14, President Allan Hillman, presid ed at the meeting. Roll call was answered by naming a favorite flower. The mixed ball team will start playing the first part of June. A note from the Mothers club of District 24 was received thanking the members for the play present ed for them in March, Helen McCornick was selected as delegate for Club Week and Audrey Friedman, alternate. The sewing meeting will be held. May 25, Movies were shown by Arvid Wal ler. A safety talk was given by LeAnn Wicks and a seam demon stration was given by Wanda Col lins, Lunch was served by Mrs. Floyd Abernathy, Mrs. Raynard Jepson and Mrs. Earl Collins. RICELAND RAMBLERS The meeting of the Riceland Ramblers was opened by presi dent, Odean Jerdee. The mothers were given a corsage in honor of Mothers Day, Jeanette Hanson and Elaine Jerdee were on the program committee, Maryis and Marlene Hatley sang, ‘“‘Mother.”” A reading was given by Beverly Baker, “I See the Moon,”’ was sung by the Broskoff girls. A piano solo was played by Janice Ramsey. Lunch was served by Mrs. Or veille Jerdee and Mrs. Lesley Han son, BATH Roll call was answered by the members naming a favorite flow er at the Bath 4-H club meeting, May 13, held in Bath Hall, Duane Olson, president presided.
