Jack Daniel, managing editor of the Centralia Evening Sentinel since 1942, announced today his resignation to devote full time to his own business interests. He will be succeeded about June 1 by C. A. Frazer, former managing editor of the Cadillac (Mich.) Evening News. Frazer, his wife, two sons and baby daughter arrived here last week and are now living at 116 St. Elmst. He is a veteran of four years combat duty in the Pacific war as a captain of artillery. Prior military service he was city edi tor of the Eldorado Daily Journal and later owned and operated a weekly newspaper at St. Anne, Til., before going to Cadillac as manag ing editor. In accepting the managing edit orship of The Sentinel, Frazer re turns his wife, Betty, to the scene of her endeavors as acting cor respondent of the Associated Press Bureau here in 1945. She is a pro ficient newspaperwoman in her own right. Daniel severs his pleasant and profitable connection with The Sen tinel to join his wife in the man agement of a retail and wholesale furniture and glass business she established here over a year ago.
