GOVE ALLEN TAKES MARRIAGE VOWS AS~ COLLEGE LIFE'ENDSGove Allen, well known to Lumberjack supporters, aiul one of the i finest athletes ever turned out at 1 Arizona State Teachers college, bid 1 adieu to bachelor friends last Friday evening when he entered the great hall of that well-known institution of matrimony.The bride was Miss Magdalene . Face, a former student of A S. T.; C., who is at present teaching at Woodruff. The nuptials were pel-; formed in the Mormon temple at Mesa.“Gove.1* who is an August graduate, has made an excellent athlet- . ic record during his four years at A. S. T. C. He was a member of the football, basketball aryl track squads of 1928, 1929 and 1920. The 1929 football and basketball squads were southwestern c h n m p i o n s , Gove was an outstanding end in ; the gridiron champs, and was the. leading scorer for the Axemen on ! the hardwood court during these years. He dropped out of school during *21 and '22. returning last fall to secure his degiee. On the gridiron this year, he proved n splendid leader and provided an!, outstanding performance in the , Lumberjack great victory over the Arizona Wildcats at Phoenix. His work on the basketball court aided the ’Jacks in finishing their basketball season in great style, after a. i poor start.Next fall Gove will be teach-1 ing social science and coaching ath-l letics at St. Johns.
