RACE TO PORTDEATH OF SHIP'S CAPTAIN.SVDNKV. Thursday.It ha* just transpired that on the voyage of the steamer Wes Loqiinssmk, from Sydney to New York, Captain Forsythe was taken seriously ill. There was no doctor aboard and the captain refused to allow the chief oflicer to make for Auckland for medical aid.Finally, however, the chief oflirer raced at full speed for Auckland, but Forsythe « died soon after admission to hospital.
