Her death twas not wholly unexpected as she fhad been in a very delicate state ofhealth for some time. Her maiden aname was Eliza Stout, She was tborn in Lycorn in county, l’enn., Dec.JosephI toss in May 1828. They were 1camong the earliest seUlers, having Umoved to Henry county, Iowa, from 1Indiana in 1836* They came herehorse wagon, erossiriver at Burlington, or rather where IBurlington now K as at that time *placewhere Burliagtou is situated.......Death,which is the common heritageof all, has severved a peaceful andhappy union of 66 years. The de* lt;ceased was the mother of ten children.eight boys ami two girls. Seven of whom are living to mourn herlossWilliam, Joseph and Martha, who istire wife of Thomas Bayles. Threeof her sous were in the late war. Thedeceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral services took place from her lateresidence Friday May 18 at 10 a. m.The interment was at Green MoundCemetery.........Saturday evening
