Agnew were named Outstanding Young Woman and Outstanding Young Man Monday night at the Arlington Jaycees’ Outstanding Young Man-Outstanding Young Wom an banquet. The banquet was dedicated to Arlington's Vietnam War casualties and their families. They are as follows: Lieuten ant Dennis Easley, Sergeant Pat McGee, Cor poral Scottie Keyes, Private Chester Jordan, Specialist 4 Ricky Lasher, Pvt. John He flin, Cpl. Earl Tidwell, Jr., Private First Class Ken Can twell, Cpl. Gary Gordon, Lt. Robert Perry Mills, Staff Ser geant Eugene Clay, PFC Johnny Turner, Cpl. Aubrey Morgan, Jr.,S Sgt. C. D. Bullard, Specialist . Jack Dale Wadley, Cpl. Brian Lee Wells, SP. MIKE Schafernecker, Q3C Ernest Buckelew, Sp. 4 Jessi Arrendendo, PFC Wil liam B. Torresce, Cpl. Robert T. Wood and Captain Barry Allmond. The banquet was held at Cibola Center and proceeds from the banquet will go to wards the establishment of a permanent memorial for Ar lington’s war casualties. Mrs. Devine, born in New Orleans, is the wife of Jackson T. Devine, D.D.S. They have three children, Terry, five; Joseph, four, and Lisa, 1] months. An honors graduate at Sa cred Heart Academy in 1956, Mrs. Devine attended Iber oamericana University and the Institute of Mexican Culture in Mexico City. Mrs. Devine received her B.S. degree from Loyola Un iversity (New Orleans) in 1960. While there, she was vice pres ident of Beta Alpha Epsilon Sorority, president of the Inter- Sorority Council, and received the school’s Outstanding Stu dent Award in 1960. She re ceived a career degree in 1961 from Meadows-Draughon Busi ness School. Included in Mrs. Devine’s current list of activities are: member board of directors, Arlington Boys’ Club, Inc.; member ladies auxiliary, ABC; organizational commit tee member, Cinderella Ball; executive board member, Jun ior Woman's Club; member board of directors, American Cancer Society; charter mem ber of Arlington Designing Women; volunteer for Tarrant County United Fund; member of Leonard’s Advisory Board, and member of Altar Society, St. Maria Goretti Church. MRS. DEVINE received the Citizen of the Week Award from KJIM in 1968. She was named Woman of the Year by Arlington Designing Women in 1968. The United Fund cited Mrs. Devine as Outstanding Volun teer for 1970-71. In 1971 she was awarded the Boys’ Club Medal lion by the Boys’ Clubs of America national headquar ters. Mrs. Devine revired the Newsmaker of the Year Award in 1971 and 1972. The Tarrant County Cancer Society cited Mrs. Devine for outstanding service in 1971-72. Agnew of 1812 Raydon Dr. is senior vice president of Anco Southwest. He is a director of Arlington Savings Association. HE WAS ON the 1972 ad ministrative board of the First United Methodist Church. Agnew is a director for Arling ton Big Brothers. Agnew is a director of the Arlington Branch of the Amer ican Cancer Society. In 1972 he was vice president of the ACS in Arlington. A director of the Young Men for Arlington Institutional Representative Cub Scouts. Agnew is also a member of the Traveling Workshop Speaker- Education Committee-Texas Association of Insurance Agents. Agnew is a Century Club member of Texas AM Un iversity. He is on the accredi tation credentials committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Maverick Club at the Universi ty of Texas at Arlington. IN 1972, Agnew was Arling ton crusade chairman for the business and industry division of the American Cancer Socie ty.This year he has been se lected to be 1973 Arlington city wide cancer crusade chair man. Agnew has been elected president of Young Men for Arlington for this year. He is committee chairman for the Arlington Big Brothers Charity Celebrity Golf Tournament. He is former Student Liai son member to the Corps of Cadets, Texas AM. Agnew is 34 and has lived in Arlington for four years. He and his wife Sharon have two sons, Philip, nine, and John, seven. George Hawkes emceed the program and the invocation was delivered by Dr. R. G. Alexander. Mayor Tom Van dergriff, Sherry Norvell-Miss Arlington, and Rush Robinson participated in the Vietnam Memorial Tribute. Chuck Schriever introduced the nominees and the awards presentations were made by Judge John Forbes. Charlie Merrill delivered the benediction. OTHER NOMINEES for the OYM-OYW awards were Mrs. Barbara Gaugl, Ross E. Cal houn, Mrs. Clyda Fry, David Duke, Joe Jesko and R. Barry Johnson. Philip C.
