Jerry D. Hoosier, 2, hit by an automobile while playing in a cardboard cart on Saturday morn ing, was reported in satisfactory condition at General Hospital in Ventura this morning. Jerry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry A. Hoosier, 1230 Wake road. The boy was apparently playing inside the box in an alley east of home when he was hit and drag ged about ten feet, police said. Avon P. Dibble, 30, 1230 Wake road, told police she looked be fore moving her car and saw no one. She had been unloading gro ceries at her home. Police said Mrs. Dibble report ed hearing a thud and thought she hit a bicycle. She told police it was necessary to back her car to free the boy who was wedged underneath the front of the car. She then ran to the Hoosier home to call the boy's mother, police Police said there was no cita tion. Jerry was taken to the Navy dispensary at Port Hueneme for emergency treatment and then transferred to County General Hospital in Ventura.
