ATHLETE UNDER OPERATIONRichard Christiansen, the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Christiansen of May field, underwent quite a serious operation at the Salina hospital Monday of this week. The operation was for hernia and late reports are to the effect that the young man is doing splendidly. Rich-' ard, a student at the University ofUtah, is widely known as an athlete.and he has hosts of friends who will hope for a speedy recovery.
