Silver street at the Sullivan drug store corner was the scene of an auto mobile smash-tip about s o’clock Thursday evening, resulting in the mussing up of the cars but without injury to the occupants. Jack Shea, of Mercer, .van driving west on Silver street iti his Stutz Phillip Fahian in his Dodg*4 was driving east on Silver » street. Shea, w ho spent the afternoon in the city, was making the t urn on to Third avenue south on Ins wav horn** and just at about t he same time Fabian in his car reached the Third avenue intersection and they earne together. Shea’s car was struck amidship and driven against the telephone pole on the corner, the right hand rear door was caved in, fenders bent and the | hood of the car damaged. Fabian’s car was also damaged, the front part being the most seriously smashed Tuere were many witnesses to the accident and a crowd quickly gat hered at the scene. Mrs. Shea occupied the driver’s seat with Mr. Shea. Mr. Tub • iso w as alone in his car.
