Fatal ApraAT.βAn affray occurred on the 24th alt. at the mouth of the Little Missouri river, between Wm. H. Tate and Mr. Mimm5 a merchant there which resulted in the death of the former-The Camden (Ark.) Traveler gives the following account of the affair:It appears that a misunderstanding occurred the day previous between a Mr. Roland and Mr. Tate, and in consequence of some part which Mr Minims took in it, Mr. Tate attacked him with a double barrelled gun, the first barrel of which snapped, whereupon Mirnms shot him in the right breast; Tate advanced on Mimms with a bowie knife and wounded him severely, when Mr. Roland shot him in the left broast, killing him almost in-etantly. Mr. Tale leaves a wife and child to 1 mourn his sad fate. Mr. Mimms, who, from all we can learn was justified in his course, has given himself Up to the authorities for the purpose of having the affair investigated.
