HARRISON MILLS NEWS.The Agassiz-Harrison Mills RoadBegun.On May 16th the Ladies’ Aid held their sale of work, a good .gathering being present and every one enjoying the musical programme which was given by Miss Edner •Dewhurst, Miss Alma Couch, Miss Mary Klitoy, Miss Eunia Picken and Mrs. P. J Kennedy. Mrs. James Dewar contributed two numbers to the programme which was appreciated very much. Rev. Mr. Dewar also gave a rending In his usual able manner. The sale of work was very successful, the ladies taking in seventy dollars. After paying all expenses they had over fifty dollars to the good.Miss Daisy /Barton of Vancouver is visiting her sister, Mrs. Acton Kilby, this week.The government is getting along very well with the Morris Valley road, giving them the outlet to Harrison Mills station. They have also made a start on the mountain road between Agassiz and Harrison Mills.The Harrison Bay Shingle Mill Is running full blnst again.Lots of logs aro being towed down from the lake to bo taken down the Fraser River to the mills below.
