In the candidate’s column of the Reg ister today is printed the announce ment of Dr. M. F. French, who is a candidate for the Republican nomina tion for justice of the peace in this dis trict. The Doctor’s health has not been good for some time, as his many friends know, and he has decided to abandon his country practice, and only look after his profession in the city. As he will thus have considerable time at his disposal, he announces to the public that he would like to serve them in the capacity of a justice of the peace, and submits his claims to the Republican primary election. If nomi nated, he will make a formidable candi date, as he is a most excellent citizen, and very popular.
