Joseph Donaldson, the butcher, met with a very serious toss in the poison ing of his well-known big yellow col lie. This animal was one of the best trained cattle dogs in the nest. If Mr. Donaldson thought that poison had been set out for the dog he would willingly stand whatever expense might be incurred in punishing the poisoner. It is quite likely, however, that the dog got the poison accident ally.
