THE SECOND BIENNIAL TOURNA MENT TO BE HELD IN DUELQULE, Very Liberal Prises Offered and Large Attendance of Prominent Marksmen Promised. The Dubuque Scheutzen Gessellschaft is already making elaborate prepara tions for the meeting of the Second Bi ennial Tournament of the Central Scheutzenbund of North America which he held in this city from June 22 to 25, inclusive, Mr. Will Klauer, a lead member of the local society, inform reporter for the Sunday Times that the ee wel be very largely at there will be three hundred de tes alone, not to say anything of hundreds of people who will come in on excursions. The first meeting of the band was held at Jollect, and was atifying success in all respects; but this year there will be over forty so cieties in attendance, and among the delegates will be many noted marksmen. The jurisdiction of the band includes all athe territory west of the Ohio river to the Pacific coast. The list of prizes offered is a very liberal one, and this will result in making the contest a very exciting one. In the morning of the Te day there will be a parade, all delegates riding in carriages, and this will be a pleasing feature. TARGET OF HONOR: The first target is the target of honor. It will have a twelve-inch bull's eye and twenty-five rings, and no shooter will be entitled to more than three shots. The prizes for this target are given by the visiting societies and by the busi nessmen of Dubuque They amount to . The first prize is $125, given by the Dubuque Malting company; the sec- 00, by the Dubuque Shooting so t, and the third, $100, by the Central trenband. STICH TARGET. This has a nine-inch bull's eye, but no and each shooter will be entitled three shots only. There are fifty KING TARGET. The bull's eye for this target will be © inches, with twenty-five rings. marksman will have ten shots, the first prize is an elegant king l and $35, with fifteen cents extra each bull's eye. PEOPLE'S TARGET This will have a twelve-inch bull's and a twenty-five rings, each shooter to have four shots, with the privilege of licensing a repeat ticket. MAN TARGET. This target will be in the form of a man. With twenty rings, and each shoot er will have only five shots. The first is $66, the balance being the same as on the people's target. There are sixty prizes amounting to $475. POINT TARGET. There will be twenty of these for prac tice outside, and ergo will be given for the most points. A card calling for twenty shots will be sold for $1.00. Be sides the prizes, an extra fifteen cents will be paid for each bulls’ eye. BOWLING PRIZEs. In connection with the shooting tour nament, there will be a bowling contest. It will be open to all, and six shots will cost 25 cents.
