‘ A Valuable (Relic.Frank Nace, of Middlesex twp., Cumberland county,was ploughing in a lot near his residence recently and ploughed up*a gold button, about 1J inches in diameter. On the outer edge are inscribed the initials of the thirteen original colonies and in the centre the initials “G. W. The suppo-sition is that the relic is a button once owned by George Washington ; and lost by that hero, whilst visiting the grandfather of the late JameB G. Blain, in the month of October, 1794. The log cabin that Btood on the spot ! where it was found was torn down ; some -years ago. j
