Father Cutting who hud the pastoral charge several years ago of Our Lady’s Chapel, Medley’s Neck, and St. Joku’s Church, Patuxeut district, of our county, and will be pleased, we dare say, to be told that be is still in vigorous health, io his usual flowing spirits, and is the same earnest, energetic worker that he' was when he wrought in our midst. A correspondent of the America*, writing under date of the 14 th instant, from White marsh, Prince Oeorgc’9 county, Md., where the Rev. Father is at present stationed, says that—•• Father Cotting is one of those jolly old priests, with whom Charles Lover has made us acquainted, only he is not an Irishman. I think that he is a native of Switzerland, but in this I may be mistaken. He has been a missionary since 1823, but these 50 years of patient labor have not exhausted his genial flow of good humor. A long time ago he suffered a partial loss of voice, and this affection lias no doubt prevented him from being promoted to higher clevical order*. To this day lie is a missionary priest.
