i Remarkable OCCURRENCE.—In the spring ofJ 1850, Or. X. B. Anderson, of this city, removed f from the arm of Miss Catharine Marlin, of fcadi-; ana, a large pin and needle, which she had accidently swallowed some two years perdons. These foreign bodies, it seems, migrated from ! the stoniach, through the lungs, muscles of the chest and arm, and were extracted near the -elbow within an inch of each other.| On the 28th of last April, he also removed I from the hand of a ladv of this city, the half of a ' needle which entered the palm of the left hand*j during the spring of 1846. ^ iIn the case of Miss Marlin, no unpleasentj symptoms whatever, showed themselves during j the passage of these bodies; but in the last case the hand remained tender and piafal, off and I on, from the oenet of the introduction until it*J removal ■*» Loam Courier.
