A one-day suffipostum on the subject “Unorganized Counties A Problem in Local Govern ment has been scheduled for Martin on May 27. According to Dan Parish, Jr., Program Coor dinator, the purpose of the meeting is to fully air all the questions raised by the recent Federal Court decision requiring that residents in unorganized counties be permitted to vote for county officials in the county to which they are attached The program will feature University of South Dakota Cal vin Kent who will speak on “The Economic Impact — The Lack of a Tax Base.’ Also on the program is Political Scientist W.©. Farber of the University Farber will discuss alternatives to unorganized counties. A num ber of local officials from Fall River, Jackson and Tripp Coun ties are on the program, as well as representatives of the reser vation tribal governments
