eDeath of Dr. Leon Moncla.Died, at his residence in Cha-taignier, Dr. Leon Moncla, on Sunday, May 14th. at 3 p. m., aged 60 years, 1 month and 11 days.Dr. Moncla was born at Marks-ville in the year of 1851, and has been residing in Chataignier for several years, where he raised a large family. Ten children were born to the union of he and his devoted wife: Mrs. Chas. La-fleur, Mrs. W. H. Stagg, Mrs. T.Ruppert, Mrs. W. W. Greene and Misses Eva and Sue; Messrs. Theodore, Henry, Maurice and Master Gaston.Dr. Moncla had been suffering with heart disease for several years, but still he took it easy and patiently with his manlike disposition, with the religion he strictly followed, and with the thought of meeting his Creator,, he waited patiently for the end which he could see approaching.His devoted wife did all in her power to make him happy. He was a member of the Catholic Church and also a member of the choir, and strictly followed his religion to the very last moment.He had been practicing medicine for many years and was proficient in that profession.The deep gloom of sorrow has been cast over the community.May he rest in peace is the wish of a true friend to the family and community.—F.
