FROM A TRESTLE,Jack Howard Fell at Fords-Ville and Was Killed SundayHe Returned From an Excursion and Went in the Wrong Direction.Fordsville, Ky., May 18—Jack Howard fell from the big trestle in this place Sunday morning at 2 o’clock. Howard went on the excursion to Louisville Saturday and got back here on the train at 2 o’clock Sunday morning, Instead of going home he walked out on the track to the east of town. In crossing the trestle he fell a distance of twenty-two feet, striking on his shoulder which was crushed. He also received injuries, which caused his death.Howard came herefrom Glenteanc, and has been employed for several years as receiver for the Winkelbleck Lumber Company, of Chicago. He leaves a wife and three children. He was an excellent man when sober, his only fault being that he wonld get on occasional sprees. He was probably under the influence of liquor at the time of the accident.
