It is Expected to Complete the Line to Columbus by Sep tember. A dispatch from Lima saya the Col umbus, Lima Milwaukee road is get ting options on valuable property through the city for the purpose of laying their track, as it looks as though they will not succeed in making arrangements with the CH D for the use of their tracks. The property they are securing is directly east of the CH D and LE W tracks, and between them and Jackson street. As soon as the road is finished to Defiance, work on the exten sion to Columbus will commence, and it is intended to have it completed by the first of September. Guy Hall, of Evansport, was in the city today. Mrs. Fill Switzer, of Sherwood, is vis iting in the city. J W Schultz will spend Sunday at his home in this city. Squire Heater, of Stryker, was in the city Friday evening. Mrs. W H Clark, of St. Louis, is the guest of Mrs. J P Cameron. Mrs. Wm. Hall and Mrs. Rogers, of Evansport, was in the city, today. Misses Blanche and Flora Hall, will spend Sunday at Toledo, the guests of Mrs. Tibbets. Mrs. Wm. Carter and daughter Beebe returned to their home in Indianapolis this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klarr and chil dren are the guests of Mr. Klaar’s mo ther in this city. The Missés Verna Bennett, of Brunersburg, and Miss Lara Kain, of this city, went to Toledo Today. James Stoy has had his baseball plate patented and is getting ready to have them manufactured here. The plate is a good thing and ought to be a ready seller when put on the market.
