The management of the Crystal Palace have just concluded arrangements for the appearance of Madame Emma Nevada, who will sing at two afternoon concerts to-day and next Saturday, May 20th and 27th, The following artists will also take part in the concert Mdlle, .Feria, a mezzo soprano, Enrico Toselli, a pianist, who is a pupil of Scambati, and Pable Casals, a violoncellist, who I understand is very highly spoken of by M, Lamoureux, who has engaged him for his concerts. The Crystal Palace Orchestral Band will play and Mr, Manns will conduct.On Wednesday evening last, at St, James's Hall, a concert, under the direction of Mr. Ernest Cavour, was most successfully given. Mme. Edith Grey-Burn and gained great applause for her rendering of the Jewel Song from Gounod's Faust ” and Tsehaikowsky’s “ A Love Piean.” In response to an encore for the latter she sang Leave me not.'' Mr. Ben Davies mar also be congratulated on the flattering reception * his songs received. Mdlle. Marie Boedcher sang exquisitely Ken net du das Land.” from Thomas’ Mignon. Miss Kathleen Purcell, the harpist, was the favourite of the evening, and had to return no less than five times to the platform to bow her thanks. Miss Ethel Spiller (violin) and Mr. eist Hill (’cello) gave as usual excellent performances.
