Mill occupied at death- Ills Inst illness ami tin* immediate «-:ii.^lt;* of death was accompanied with distress and pain. In S’ovember. IM»7. we was stricken witli a light stroke of paralysis. Though pnrtjdly recovered therefrom, he never again regained his full strength. About two months after his snth birthday his fatal disease, dropsy, attacked him. Me rallied once more, hut the extreme cold of the latter part of this winter again prostrated him. For ten days preceding his death ho could not rest except when sitting in one position. Finally on tin- morning of the day of his death lie was carefully tended, dressed and laid on his he*! hy hi* doctor and nurse. Here lie lay till evening, when he peacefully passed away, as so often he had earnestly wished and prayed for. The funeral services were conducted May 12th at 1 p.m. hy his pastor at the Lutheran churchof Clinton, and his body was interredin the cemetery near by. A large concourse of relatives, friends and associates from the neighborhood attended. The following were present: Akron—Mr. and Mrs. IVter Ben hi, Mr-. Fred Alhreeht. Mrs. Wecht. Williams: Canal Fulton—Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rttch, Mr. ami Mrs. Christ Luther. Mrs. Catherine Bowman; Massillon —Mr. and Mrs. Adam ( layman. Mr. jand Mrs. Thus. Patterson.Andrew Rice Leishcr, fourth son of Rev. Win. L. and Nora F. Leisln r. died of pneumonia May 10. and was buried the next day in Clinton cemetery. Rev. (’has. Edw. Keller, of Akron,officiated.Mrs. Daniel Kloss, who has been visiting her daughter. Mrs. Rev Leisher. the last two weeks, returns to Tyrone. Pa.. Wednesday.Wm. Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs.I Christian Tanner, died Friday of ! pneumonia; age is months. Buried Sunday afternoon. Funeral at Lutern11 church; interred at Clinton ceineterp.Mrs. Louis Smith returned with her daughters to Ashland for a short sojourn.Prof. McHenninger has organized a singing class. Meet next Sundayat selionl house.The regular term of Clinton school closed Friday. The normal school begins May 22 and under tin* supervision of Prof. M. ('.
