Death of Capt. LachicotteThe sad news reached the city last Friday, just after we had gone to press, of the death of Capt. Philip R. Lachicotte, which event occurred atWaver-lv Mills on that day. The body was interred in the cemetery at All Saints Church, on Wacca-maw, llev. LeGiand Guerry, officiating, in the presence of Capt. Lachicotte’s large family connection and a host of friends —many of them from Georgetown. Deceased was about 73 years old, and was one of our prominent rice planters, being also the owner of Waverly Mills. At one time, he represented this county in the Legislature, and was prominent in all that tended to the up building of his home and county. He left a large family to mourn his loss.
