TIRED OF WALKING, SO HE RANAWAY.George Howarth has a horse that is evidently not much of a Baptist: at least, he became tired of the monotonous journey back and forth, drawing buckets of water and mortar to the top of the Baptist church building, and runaway. Undoubtedly, he would have remained faithful to duty, but a large bucket fell down and frightened him, so he started home for dinner. He made a bee-line for “Spunkey Point,” dragging about 25 feet of rope behind, him, the whiffletrees knocking against his heels at a lively rate. He was caught near the toll gate.
