Wednesday, May 19, 1971 DAILY TROJAN 9Group gives high school students aidBig Sisters is a student group that has recently been organized in conjunction with the already-formed Big Brothersin order to help high school students prepare for college.“Our goal is to make high school students aware of the educational opportunities that are available,” said Linda Broussard, treasurer of thegroup.Both the Big Brothers and Big Sisters visit Los Angeles high schools and talk to students about college. ‘ The idea is not to get them to come to USC. said Miss Broussard, but to get the students interested in further education— whether it be in four-year universities, junior colleges or trade schools. ”Next week the group will host a luncheon on campus for 25 high school student body presidents from the Los Angelesarea.
