The Winfield - Mt. Union high track team finished third in the class C state track meet at Poca hontas Saturday with 16 points, Miles won the title with 26 and Dike was second with 20. A host of teams were in the meet. The Wolves’ John Buzbee won the discus throw with a toss of 151’91%”, a school record. The WMU 880-yard relay team (Bob Nelson, Duane Johnson, Chuck Reighard, Steve Norder) was sec ond in 1:35.6 and the mile medley team (Johnson, Monte Thomson, Steve Norder, Reighard) was third in 3:45. New London and Waco failed to score in the class B state meet at Cedar Rapids Saturday. Belle Plaine won the title with 33 points
