HOUSTON CAP) — A field at rector for the National Associat Usa for the Advancement of Col ored People said Sunday the Houston School Board is dom inated by racist and is “one of the worst, if not the worst, in the country.’* The Rev. Anderson Davis was one of several speakers at a rally on Emancipation Park to launch what was billed as a Movement to win “freedom for black people in Houston fen a thousand persons attended. Davis said “police brutality, Must be stopped. He described an incident he said he recently reported to pret View Chief Merman Short and he received wikt the letter from Short y ing the whale case.” “Chief Short's resignation! ough to be demanded,’* he said. Other sparkers also blasted: the school board Dight Allen, leader of the Tiberarian, lashed out at the board for what he called outing , off free lunches, for the poor fle spending $6 million for an administration building
