At tht time, authorities said they believed hehad been killed by hitchhikers.SIEGEL’S DEATH was one of five murders committed in southern Idaho during a three-month period of 1959.Hunt, a Portland, Ore., plant pathologist, was killed in the desert near Bliss in August of that year. Miss Hampton was held in the case for a short time but later dismissed. She also testified for ..he state against another suspect. Roger Hall. 22, Crescent Crty, Calif Hall stood trial on a murder charge in Hunt’s death but was acquitted Now, however. Hall faces a charge of robbing the Portland man.
