PETER JOHAN CHRISTENSON {Peter Johtan Christenson was born j on a farm near Randall, Hamilton; County, Iowa, on May 3, 1875, to Endrc and Julia Christenson, He was baptized 'and confirmed in the St. Petri Lutherarl Church in Story City, Iowa. On July 28, 1897 he was united in marriage to Julius Sevold of Randall. To this union seven children were born.The family made their home on a farm east of Randall until 1911 when they purchased the A, A.Rake farm west of Rake and moved there. They resided there until last September when they moved to their home in Rake.Mr. Christenson suffered a stroke on Wednesday, May 3rd, just a week, before his death. He passed away at his home in Rake on May 10th at 4:30 a. m. having reached the age of 69 years and 7 days.He is survived by .his wife and five children. They ere Helen (Mrs.Carl Herem ) of Kiester, Minn.;Celia (Mrs. Cyrus Espcland); Agnes j (Mrs. J. N. Larson) and Pleny and; •^nlt;^ Elmer of Rake.' Twin daughters,Edith and Edna, died at the age of three months. Also surviving iarc uvclve grandchildren, three great grandchildren', and one sister, Mrs.B. A. Anderson of Randall, as well as many other relatives. His parents, brothers and other sisters preceded him in death. One sister, Mrs. Christina Henderson of Story City passed away a month ago.Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran church1 with the Rev. A.N. Brudvig conductinr the services.Mrs. Harvey Lund and Mrs. Henry1 Olson sang.Pallbearers were John- Ryg, Johnnie Rake, Ole Jorgenson, Peter Oakland, Orville Erdahl and Ingvold Jacobson.Burial was in the West Zion cemetery.
