Jamestown, May 18—Charles Fenton, 22 years old, West Baden, Ind, clown who amused thou sands of Jamestown folk Wednes day by his trapeze and bareback riding comedy stunts, died at Jamestown General Hospital at 4:48 o'clock yesterday afternoon of Injuries received late Wednes day night when he was crushed between two circus wagons at Harding Avenue and Steele Street. Fenton and his wife were riding on one of three wagons hooked to a truck, taking that method of getting to their sleeping car. The tongue of one of the wagons broke as the steep part of Harding Ave nue and Fenton either jumped or fell from his Seat, being crushed so badly that his broken ribs punctured one lung. Fenton had been with the John Robinson shost for four years and been on four with of four weeks this season. His wife was also a performer in the ¢ircus. He was bor in Louisville, Ky. De cember 22, 1905, and is survived by his wife, Blanche Mangot Fenton: his mother, Mrs. Mamie Fenton; a brother, Oscar Fenton, and four sisters, Misa Lillian Fenton, Mrs. Marie Bruce, Mrs. George Wibber and Mrs. W. L. Richardson, all of Louisville. The boy was taken to Louisville last night at 7:00/ g clock.
