rather qaeer is the traffic regulation. Everything and everybody keeps to the left. Their railway cars are aboot M the size of oars, freight cars aboat the size of a large track, and the street cars are like a riibber-neck bass. Thepeople themselves have wayswhich seem qaeer. Their English is all spoken very fast andwith lots of pep.We are finally ready to begin training. Oar men went into the hangars and shops today for the first time, and as soon as arrangements are made the photographers will start in. Don’t know ifwe train here in camp or in town. There^is another squadron in this field, bat they have aboat com-j pleted training and will probably smoon leave ns, then there will be only the Britishers left, who are our instructors. They are a very itice lot, and I look forward to ree months of real pleasare while we are here. We are justabout two miles from a fairly large town, and whenever we are off duty we can go in for severalhours. Our luxuries are few, especially sweets. You folk at home don’t know what Hooverizing means. They have a system here whereby everyone saves and still get enough to eat. I really believe that America wastes enough food ! to feed all the allied armies. A person doesn’t realize these things until he really sees how it is done.
