Sprauer of the 378th Aero Squadron to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alois Sprauerof Jasper.Somewhere in England, Monday, April 8, 1918.Dear Folk:Several days ago 1 sent yon a card annoncing my arrival in England.Before going aboard a transport we had quite a trip along theAtlantic coast. We were delayed for a day before going ont to sea, bat made good speed after that.We crossed the ocean Without abit of excitement, except the second day ont we had a heavy sea.I wasn’t ont to enjoy it, being sick down in my bank. I neverfelt good the entire trip, except* the last day; we went along, the coast almost all day, and efciM one was out enjoying the £cen«3($B It was worth coming across for. I Also had an opportunity to see some of England for we had to go a long distance from the dock to this camp.
