I*assers-hy on I.octist and upper Mainstreet yesterday gaz* d with mingled surprise and amusement at a curious party, who were parading tin* street. A tall, spare nlil lady with gualntgown and fussy curls was struggling along with hands full of bird eake, hand box and bundle. Another strangely-dressed woman accompanied her. Behind followed a trim nurse-girl, wheeling a baby buggy, which held a baby large enough to bulge the sides of the carriage.Beneath the disguises, vainly tryingto keep back the laughter at their own ridiculous appearance, were four high school girls, who were undergoing aninitiation for admission to tin* highschool sorority. The initiation, which lasted during the afternoon, was followed by a picnic supper at tin* home of Miss Modesta Harrington, given inhonor of the prospective members. The young people present were Misses Marguerite Flick, Hortense Pontius. Jessie Oldt, Kate Bradley, Helen Sutherland, Adele Fritz, Deola Sampson, Manon Salot. Clara Stewart, Nan Cady, Myrtle Travis, Hois Greene. Kleanor Burch, Doris Bingham and Mabel Riland.
