Obituary.Thursday, May 17, 1883, after three months of intense suffering, Mrs. Ellis Chester died at her father’s (Walter Cal; vertJ'Tesidence on East Pigeon street. Ev-ery person who knew her, either as Laura Calvert or the wife of Ellis Chester, will speak of her kindness and generosity. The fact that she was, before this fatal illness, the healthiest woman, the loving wife of an affectionate husband and the fond daughter of devoting parents, makes her death sadder than it would be under ordinary circumstances. The three months’ old child, left without a mother’s care, will be the cause of alleviating the husband’s and parents sorrow. Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Calvert have the heartfelt sympathy of Everyone who knew either the deceased or them. .She knows the mighty secret (if to know Befalls the lot of every human soul)Of Death’s true meaning of the mighty flow Of human life, past Death’s old-fashioned goal.
