McCook county is just now receiving a most satisfaclory immigration, not only the quantity, but also tne quality of it bs well, being particularly gratifying to those who are interested in seeing oar prairie lands taken as the homes of an industrious and energetic population. Last week, claims were taken by a large colony from Lake City, Minn, the members organizing under the name of the Lake City colony, and locating in township 102, range 54, on theline of the territorial road from Sioux Falls to the Black Hills, twenty-five miles west of Sioux Falls, where they have established a town named Cameron, in honor of our fellow-citizen J. D. Cameron, who secured them their lands, and who is arrangiug the plat of the future metropolis.
