Train wreck injures former mayorJAMESTOWN (AP) — A tractor-train collision has seriouslyinjured this city’s former mayor.James Trautman, 51, was listed in guarded condition Monday atSt. Luke’s Meritcare Hospital in Fargo.Stutsman County Deputy Jerry Mayer said Trautman was driving a tractor that collided with a Burlington Northern train shortly after noon Saturday, at a crossing on the east end of Cleveland.Mayer said the train struck the rear of the tractor when the tractor turned to cross the tracks.
