Westland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6816 and the Ladies Auxiliary will hold their joint installation of officers at the VFW Hall in Novato at 8 p.m., Saturday. The auxiliary members being installed for the year are Mines. Edith Harker, presi dent; Kathy Menagh, senior vice president; Helen Cable, junior vice president; Jean Stewart, treasurer; Blanche Eckhardt, chaplain; Betty Scherba, conductress; Marga ret Heffernen, guard; Vera Young, patriotic instructor and three-year trustee; Mary Re chsteiner, two year trustee, and Rozella Owen, one year trustee. Delegates elected to attend the convention are Mmes. Har ker, Minagh, Marie Westlund with alternates, Albert Larsen, Blanche Eckhardt and Stewart. “GOLD RUSH Days”’ is the theme of the Strawberry Point Parent-Teacher Association fes tival which will be held from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday on the school grounds. Highlights of the 21st annual festival will be the appearance of a Romanian Gypsy band (the Pulikas), films, a puppet show, games of skill, and sky rides. There will also be an outdoor market, a white elephant sale, a plant booth, children’s book stall, and a make-up booth for children. Mrs. Robert Long is chair man and Mrs. Robert Morgan, cochairman. “WINE, WOMEN and song” is the theme for the Rohnert Park Women’s Club’s wine and cheese tasting and fashion show Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Red wood Estates Clubhouse in Roh nert Park. Mr. and Mrs. Hall Slater will provide the music with Pam Groo soloist. Betti Claires of Sarita Rosa will provide the women’s fash ions, and Gerry Lombardi’s Men Shop in Rohnert Park will provide the men’s fashions for the show. Wine cheese tasting chairman is Mrs. Charles Waltman and Mrs. Chet Crowley is chairman of the fashion show. Decorations chairman is Mrs. Jack Barker with Mrs. Gene Chaon commentator for the fashion show. LADIES NIGHT will be held at Corinthian Yacht Club in Tibur on Saturday by Local No. 23 of its Cooks and Waiters Union to honor their ladies with a dinner prepared by “union members.” This fifth annual ladies night, entitled ‘“‘An Evening of Ro ses,’ has been added to the club's annual Cooks and Wait ers Dinner 87-year-old tradition. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Flowers and surprise en tertainment are planned also by chairman Hal Monoton. A DANCE for single adults will be given Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in San Ra fael. BEL-AIRE SCHOOL Parent- Teacher Club will hold its spring luncheon and fashion show tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the school’s multi-media center in Tiburon. The salad luncheon, ‘Sum mer in the Bay Area,” will honor the teachers and include children’s folk dancing and an art exhibit. Co-ordinator Mrs. Edward Mid dendorf is assisted by Mines. Raymon Truman, Martin Brot man and Douglas Sheft, fashion show; Frederick Berman and John Munter, food; Rex Jones, decorations; Philip Coyle, res ervations; Bruce Anderson, set up; George Harmina, clean-up; David Mathew, publicity; John Gale, invitations; and David Shoenstat, art exhibit. Mrs. Robert Ross has com piled the recipe cookbook to be sold at the luncheon. Fashion show commentators are Mmes. Raymon Truman and Merle Ellis. Models will be Mmes. David Mathew, Dan Pancake, Philip Hayman, David Crockett, Ed ward Roberts, Paul Peterzell, Rodney Bessolo, George Harmi na, Benjamin Okulski and Tom Decker. A MIDDLE Eastern belly dancing performance will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Young Women’s Christian Asso ciation in San Rafael. Performers will be members of Tijuana’s Dancers Ballads, who will present a review of the culture and history of Middle Eastern dancing in costume. MEMBERS OF Court St. Agnes, Catholic Daughters of America, will observe a day of prayer for vacations on Sunday with a communion breakfast. Members will attend 9:15 a.m. mass at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Fairfax and the breakfast will follow at the San Geronimo National Golf and Country Club. Reservations chairmen are Lorraine Irving and Ethel Brus chini. ALL FAITHS Nursery School will hold open house on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Church of All Faiths, 5461 Paradise Drive in Corte Madera. Families with pre-school age children are invited by the di rector of the school, Mrs. Nan cy Faw of San Anselmo, to view the facilities and meet the staff. MARIN COUNTRY Club Es tates Homeowners Association will hold its fourth annual fami ly picniec Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Howart Park in Santa Rosa. Entertainment chairman Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dinsmore have scheduled games to begin at 2 p.m. An ART auction, garage sale and party will be held by the Marin Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be given at 100 Goodhill Road, Kentfield, as a benefit for the chapter. Musical entertainment will be a part of the festivities.
