Hunt Shuts OutRoyals ByRighthander Larry Hunt spun a four-hit shutout and Madison College scored two runs in the third inning to nip Eastern Mennonite College, 2-0, Tuesday night at Memorial Stadium.EMC threatened Hunt’s shutout when Donnie Knighton tripled to open the ninth inning, but the lanky hurler forced ground balls for the first two outs and then fanned the fourth Royal to end the game.“He (Hunt) pitched the big ballgames for us all year and tonight he showed determination in going for the shutout,” MC Coach Brad Babcock said after the game. “He’s a great competitor.”Today's EventsThe win ups the Dukes’ record to 11-14 with a season-ending doubleheader with Washington Lee scheduled for tonight at Memorial Stadium.
