DECORATIONS WILL BE AWARDED FOR VARIOUS ACTIVITIES AT CAMP RO-FRE-LA. _ Every Scout attending Camp Ro- Fre-La‘ will come home ,with a re cord, of his play and, work in camp. Caps, sweaters, belts and most, im portant of all, Scout uniforms, will carry the story of Scout tests, nights spent on guard duty, the winning of camp inspection, and the other activities, that go to make up camp life. Best decoration in the form of painted figures will be given for certains honors in camp. Every boy who takes part in stunt night or is in the cabin winning the daily inspection will receive a certain kind of decoration. Best decora tions will be given to Captain Kidd, and the Camp Goat, for becoming a Life Guard, Officer of the Day, training to swim, taking a place in an athletic or swimming meet, tak ing an overnite hike, attaining White Swastika, or Honor Camper, winning a Sunday table inspection, serving as Color Guard, hearing the Indian Call, and for any Scout advancement. Ro-Fre-La caps are to be revised so every boy will want one. — Caps may be worn only by Scouts, who have earned the first emblem,” to ward the title of Honor Camper. The emblems are of different col ors and will be given for five point. in any, certain, craft. Scoutecraft will , include the ‘passing of all Scout tests. Woodcraft. will con sist of different kinds of fire-build ing and for knowledge of the stars. Handicraft emblems are given for the construction and use of bows and arrows, camp lanterna, bird houses, feather goods, bead work, paper knives, firemaking sets, and general, camp equipment. The emblem in Watercraft is awarded for learning to swim, tak ing morning, dip, surface diving. gwimming on ‘back, distance swim ming, underwater swimming and for life-saving work. Museum Craft emblems may be earned by collect ing and mounting leaves, flowers, and insects. Photographing wild life and identifying trees and birds also count toward this emblem. Many will want to catch snakes, turtles, and frogs to help earn their points. After five different em blems have been won, a Scout re ceives an additional emblem and may be granted the title of Honor Camper and receive the camp letter. The Mystic order of White Swas tika will hold four of their cele brated midnight ceremonies, and receive into membership a selected group of campers. Once during the camping season, elections will be made to the ‘highest Honor of Camp, The Order of Good Indian. A new society will also have an election and initiation in one of the periods, ‘The only thing so far known about this order is its name. Pirate’s Crew. . Scoutmaster Don D. Carmean of Troop 101 of this city is making re servations for thirty-two Scouts for one camp period. The troop will more than fill its quota. Patronize Marysville Merchants.
