Mr. and Mrs. ©. B. Bennett visited Thursday with their daughter and family in Freemont. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kocher of Free mont were calling in Packwood Tues day. S. H. Nelson was a business caller in the county seat Wednesday. Mrs. Floyd Reynolds of Ottumwa spent a few days this week at the parental E. E. Edwards home. Rev. C. BE. Ward of Brighton was shaking hands with his many friends here Wednesday. He was called to Abingdon to conduct the funeral ser vices of Lester Ramey. Mrs. W. B. Ireland made a business trip to Ottumwa Wednesday. D. C. McCracken of Richland was a business visitor here Thursday. Mrs. Mary Woolums is enjoying a visit from her mother, Mrs. Mary Knight of Highland. Rev. and Mrs. W. If Ireland and Mrs. Vera Oliver were shopping in Fairfield Thursday. Mrs. Ellis Hill and Master Herman Tracey Bailey of Winfield spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Nelson. The ladies are sisters. Leona Conger left Friday evening to spend a week with her sister, Mrs. Willard Paxsey at Woolson, the class on their excellent work done the past year. H. Davis. Song “Onward Christian Soldiers” Audience, Dismissal — Rev. W. B. Treland. Members of the class are: Jack Cowen, Clarence Vanness, Irene Con ger, Georgis Lovell, Edith Nott, John George, Helen Meald, Marjorie Step hens, Willard Adams Hazel Lockhart, Paul Ireland, Eva Nelson, Dorothy Downey, Wanda Shy, Marjorie Baker, Louise George, Marion Nelson, Ken neth Smith. Pleasant Plain and the latter’s moth er from Quincy, Ill. were a present Thursday night for Commencement Kenneth and Dorothy returned home with them. Dorothy was a Freshman here this year and will attend next year at Pleasant Plain. Mrs. Heaton, sister of J. C. Heald, from Fairfield attended the exercises here Thursday night and visited at the Heald home. The last issue of the Red and White Ramble Was distributed to suscribergs Thursday. It was publish ing the same general staff as was the April number. An extra sheet was added by the seniors. A five pound box of candy was given this class Friday as winner in the paper con test between the four high school classes.
