DISCUSSED FLOYD ROAD.—A meeting of the director* of the Virginia-North Carolina Railway Company waa held yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock la the Office of K.B. Jacob#, secretary of the chamber of commerce. Among those In attendance from Floyd county were: B. a Pedigo, clerk of the court: S. R. Brown, caahler of the People's Bank: H. W. Simmons, attorney for the commonwealth: H. L. Law-•on, county treasurer: b. O. Howard. Dr. P. H. Mullens. John L. Jett. J. V. Thomas, d. P. Willis, W. M. Smith and John Harwell.As a result of the meeting It was decided to send men over the proposed route, and If It proves to be feasible and as represented they will construct It The above proposition was discussed at the meeting this afternoon.Addresses were made by leading members of the Chamber of Commerce relative to the proposed Has and everv encouragement given the enterprise The vial fora were afterwards taken for a abort drive about the city, which was mash enjoyed. ~
