Political Feud Ends FatallyNews of the killing of James Holland, a prominent merchant at Westville, is reported. Holland-was shot by Earl Holt, ex-Auditor of Westville, who, it seems Holland was instrumental in defeating for re-election at the late municipal election. Bad blood existed between the two men since the election. Saturday Holland began drinking and hunted his enemy up. They were parted, however, without serious results. Later in the day they met again. At this time Holt was armed with a shotgun. Holland advanced toward him with one hand in his pocket. Holt commanded him to halt, which he failed to do, wben: Holt fired a load of Buckshot into his breast. Holland died instantly. Holt surrendered to the officers. Holland was known throughout the j Cherokee Nation.
